Reviews & Testimonials
The varied and sundry "how-to/self-help" books for entrepreneurs are virtually endless, "Marketing & You," Marketing 101, "Marketing for Dummies...." I think you get the idea. You may be scratching your chin over my introductory piece to a testimonial page, but humor me!
My efforts in developing this practical guide to effective marketing were never inspired by an agenda to tote myself and my book as "the one true way". In truth, the path of the entrepreneur is as rugged and individualistic as the vocation itself, that's why we got into it, isn't it?
What I can attest to, just as these marketing frontier men and women below can, is that Getting The Word Out is a well-crafted tour through the little (and not so little) bumps, gaps, and mis-steps in cultivating a small business, and very real and tactile approaches to overcoming them. As Rodin so aptly put it, "nothing is a waste of time if you use the experience wisely". And so this little book is a testament to the possibilities that await the creative entrepreneur in you, but don't take my word for it...

"I've recently struck out on my own as a sole proprietor of my new business, after having been partnered up for 5 years. The idea of "going it alone" really frightened me...I had no idea where to begin. I had moved across the country, and in terms of finding a client base, I was literally starting over. The notion of beginning again was overwhelming. I read Mark's book in 2 hours and couldn't put it down. Getting the Word Out has reminded me that I was never selling my services, I was always selling "myself". This book has graced me with renewed confidence and I look forward to utlizing his exercises to build the kind of business I've always dreamed of creating"!
